Positive News |
 
More often than not, we see and hear the bad news first on TV, radio, and in the newspaper. I acknowledge the fact that there is a great deal of bad news in our world, but there is also a great deal of Good News that is positive, uplifting, and inspiring. This website has been created to herald that fact. I will be posting positive news stories, and links to positive news stories, from around the country and the world; celebrating the everyday heroes, dedicated leaders, caring parents, helpful neighbors, and good citizens that are so often overlooked. You will find stories here of communities made better, people helped selflessly by others, and lives saved.

The Questions pages consider life's spiritual and philosophical mysteries. What is life all about? How can we live it to the fullest? Where do we fit in to the big scheme of things? I don't claim to have all the answers. No one does. Many of these questions lead to even more questions, and I hope that in my answers you will find some provocation to enter into a discussion of these or any other questions at the Discussion bulletin board. The Discussions board is an open forum: common ground for any, and all, points of view. You are invited to participate by considering and commenting on these important issues, and comparing your point of view with that of others.

| Books, Music, and Movies |
The Bookstore features selected books, Bibles, and Bible study software of interest to anyone seeking to learn more about Christ and about Christianity. At the Music Store you'll find hymns, gospel, bluegrass, and rock. You'll also find selected movies of interest to both Christians and seekers, concerts of music of praise, and audio Bibles. All proceeds from the book and music stores is donated to the Seattle Union Gospel Mission. I also offer FREE copies of "The Message" paraphase of the entire New Testament or "The Message" The Gospel of John. I hope you will enjoy listening to my MP3 Playlists . Each one will play about 40 minutes of music in the category of your choice: Hymns, Gospel, Bluegrass, or Celtic. I will be adding new MP3s to the playlists regularly, and I am open to your suggestions and comments.

The The Word pages feature links to BibleGateway.com that allow you to compare various versions and translations of the scriptures. There are also interesting articles about the origin and the history of The Bible. I have featured several great audio Passages from the King James Version with accompanying text, including David's Psalm and The Sermon on the Mount. You will find more good news from the Bible at the Bible Promises page, where I have an index of biblical Promises with short commentaries. You can also listen to and read the accompanying text of the entire Gospel of John, chapter by chapter.

The Messages page allows you to listen to and/or read sermons by some of the greatest ministers of the past and present. The Audio Sermons page allows you to listen and read the accompanying text, or you can just read sermons at the Text Sermons page. Many thanks to Mountzion.org and Sermonindex.net for freely sharing their wonderful resource. You will also find a Testimonies bulletin board. This is an open forum, and your message does not necessarily have to be a Christian testimony. It's all about finding common ground. I invite you to share your personal message with others.
