Heroes Heroes seem rare these days. Many of the time honored role models of past generations have become tainted by scandel and misconduct in their ranks: from entertainment and sports figures to people in the highest public offices. Here are some articles about people who have proven that heroism is not dead.
  • Firefighter Thomas Feaser - New York, NY - 2005
    Firefighter Feaser dove 6 feet off an embankment to save a drowning woman from the icy waters off the shore of Staten Island. Without waiting for a safety rope, this 9/11 survivor plunging in. (more)

    Volunteer firefighter Mike Shropshire crawled through thick smoke in a burning trailer to save an infant's life (more)

  • Rondrick Springer- London, U.K. - 2003
    A man braves a raging fire in the EastEnd of London to save the lives of two young girls. He went up the stairs through the flames while others were forced back by the heat. Mr. Springer later died of his injuries. (more)

  • Yuqing Chen - Montreal, QC. Canada - 2002
    Mr. Chen ran to the banks of a frozen river and pulled a little girl to safety who had fallen through thin ice about 10 yards fron shore. (more)

Stories of Great Generosity
Charity - Generosity It's great to see that some people will still step forward with support for those in need; even if it works a financial hardship on themselves.

    Laura and Annie raised funds to purchase, and will donte their time to deliver, a mobile home to a pastor's family in New Orleans who's home was destroyed. The pastor and his family were so busy helping others they failed to consider their own dilema. (more)
